Changing Lanes is your guide to the future of transportation.

It’s written by Andrew Miller, Ph.D, a consultant, author, and speaker on innovative mobility and smart cities. He’s the co-author of The End of Driving (second edition forthcoming August 2025), the industry textbook on the economic, social, and political implications of driving automation.

He was formerly the Toronto mobility lead for Sidewalk Labs, Google's smart-city firm, where he led development of innovative mobility systems for a proposed "city of the future" on the Toronto waterfront.

Published twice a week, new entries of Changing Lanes take 10 or so minutes to read and will make you smarter about the future of mobility, cities, and our world.
